Using
C.H.I.P. to Administer Your Physical Ability Assessment
Complete Health & Injury Prevention assists police
agencies by providing physical ability assessments for prospective job candidates.
Working with
C.H.I.P. helps police departments save the time and expense involved in operating their own
assessment program. There is no cost to the municipality when candidates test with
C.H.I.P., unless a municipality has
an ordinance that prohibits fees charged to candidates.
Becoming a participating
department with C.H.I.P. means that you have access to a wider pool of candidates who have
met the state physical ability standard within six months of your job posting. Candidates who
possess a C.H.I.P.
Card are qualified to apply at any of the police departments that
work with C.H.I.P.. |
C.H.I.P. will make every attempt to accommodate your department’s hiring process and schedule. We will provide a mobile service and, with your department’s assistance, we will test at an appropriate facility in your community. |
C.H.I.P.
assessments comply with the guidelines set forth by the Connecticut Police Officer Standards and Training (POST) Council. With
C.H.I.P. handling all physical assessment testing, your department can focus on interviewing and evaluating applicants that have already met the physical ability requirements for the State of Connecticut.
